it looks so malproportioned, is it just the photo? But everything else in the photo seems fairly normal, so not a fisheye lens.

CP. Plus the tail lamps look like the belong on a Olds Delta 88 instead.

Just see ms to be how they are. Doesn’t seem like those proportions should be real.

I love the malaise era ... but no, even I don’t want that.  I’d rallycross it, if it was a hardtop.

that’s unreal. WHO the hell designed these? and with such small (looking) doors, I wonder how getting in and out is.

bet it’s slow enough that even without a hardtop you’d be of no danger to yourself or others. hmm, perhaps when you get lapped, but otherwise you’d be so far from the rest of the pack.

Looks like a company out of California by the name of Milan Coach Builders, named after the founder not the city, apparently. MSRP was 39,000 in 1979!!

Some other coach builder were responsible for these Seville “ Opera” coupe conversions as well, if you want more weird proportions.

The way we do rallycross in the US, is one at a time against the clock.  I’m more worried about rollovers.  I’ve seen several.  Hardtops only for me.

No, these were all too real.

There were all sorts of really crazy, badly thought out coach built customs based on the 1st and 2nd generation Sevilles, none of which looked better than the regular car (especially on the 1st gen, which is pretty attractive stock), the main selling point for all of them was that they were really expensive and therefore prestigious.

Spending a huge amount of money on an ugly hacked up Seville sent an important message to the world that you were someone who could afford to spend a huge amount of money on an ugly hacked up Seville.
